Installs as a Windows service and starts with the machine. Or run it in a window when you feel like it.

Your library stays yours

Nothing is uploaded anywhere. The only thing that leaves your network is a heartbeat, and only if you connect it to an account.

What happens when you run it

The whole thing takes about a minute.

  1. Windows will warn you about an unknown publisherChoose More info, then Run anyway. That warning is about a code signing certificate, which costs a few hundred a year and is on the list.
  2. Pick what to installThe server on its own, or the server plus the Discord bot.
  3. Choose a port5466 by default. Change it only if something else on the machine already answers there.
  4. Let it open the firewallOne inbound rule on your private network so your phone and TV can reach it. It is never opened to the internet by this step.
  5. Open itThe browser opens on its own when setup finishes. Make an account, point it at your media folders, and you are watching.
